Honestly as a fan of architecture, all of the closed down, run down schools sure have some beautiful lines and detailed features. One glance at your old school and memories instantly fill your head. I can still hear the tardy bells ring as I am racing down the hall to my class at Cody Elementary. Still to this day some 25 years later I can still smell that ‘interesting’ aroma pouring out of the cafeteria down our locker filled halls. One thing for sure our memories will never die and I just wanted to take a quick second to thank all of OUR teachers and coaches who taught us, groomed us and helped shape us, the productive members of society that we are today. Growing up in Flint was tough, but so are we and I wouldn’t change that for the world.
Let’s take a stroll down memory lane shall we?
