This week we at FPO are celebrating our one year Anniversary!
We are thrilled to be celebrating this day together as a team and as a community, with all of our viewers and fans that have come to feel more like an extended family.
FPO began with two men that grew up listening to scanners as a hobby. Soon, a Twitter account was created to inform family and friends of the crimes within the Flint city limits.
Within no time at all, a Facebook page was up and running right along with Twitter. The wonderful team created throughout the past 12 months now covers our great County of Genesee.
Along the way, some new faces and personalities have been added. We experienced even more growth, by way of media stories, interviews by local news, websites and CNN even stopped into our fair city to see what all the fuss was about.
As you may now be aware, we are extremely proud of the achievements made over the past year. As of August 2, 2012 our likes are over 40,600. And that is just on Facebook. In addition, we have over 7,800 followers on Twitter.
All thanks go to YOU, our viewers, for all of the amazing growth! Without you this page would be nothing.
We are a group of volunteers, “Citizens Informing Citizens”, that has managed to become the Nation’s largest anti-crime, social media group on Facebook.
With just over 120,000 viewers in July 2012 on our website at www.FlintPoliceOps.com, we continue to grow and strive to remain at our best.
